You can reason your way
through anything.
This is where reasoning runs out.

Therapy for insightful intellectualizers and achievers stuck trying to solve their emotions and behaviors — telehealth across Pennsylvania.

The Pattern

You're insightful, high-functioning, and exhausted by patterns you can name perfectly: overthinking, guilt, people-pleasing, perfectionism, chronic caretaking. Naming them hasn't been enough.

Somewhere along the way, you fused with the idea that there's a right way to do this — a right way to feel, to respond, to be. You don't need more insight or another emotional strategy. You need a path back to yourself.

The Goal

Not feeling better. Better at feeling.

We're redefining the goal. Not to feel better, manage, regulate, overcome, solve, outsmart, optimize, or improve. Instead: to feel, expand, metabolize, allow, process, accept, embody, and integrate.

How I Work

Your intellect isn't the obstacle.

I won't ask you to stop thinking, analyzing, or learning. I will help you find a center underneath the strategies, in a way that honors both your mind and your body.

Real psychoeducation

You'll get the actual science and theory behind what's happening in your body, not a workaround. The goal is to route that understanding into the body, not stack it as more knowledge.

Where willpower runs out

We'll find the specific places discipline has been substituting for capacity you don't yet have, and build the capacity instead of asking you to try harder.

Attunement to the signal, not management of it

Real-time practice in session — learning to be with what your body is telling you, instead of analyzing it, explaining it, or managing it into place.

About Me

Sarah Martinez, LCSW

Sarah Martinez

Close to fifteen years working at the intersection of cognitive science, affective neuroscience, and clinical practice. Degrees in Human Development from Cornell and Clinical Social Work from UPenn. Experience with anxiety, OCD, parenting, neurodivergence, and trauma. IFS Level 1 certified.

My approach integrates science with deep attunement, helping people move beyond emotional and analytical strategies and into embodiment. Together, we work toward a steadier, more compassionate relationship with yourself, so it feels less like managing who you are and more like living from who you are. It's a privilege to be invited into that process, and I strive to create a space where people feel deeply witnessed, supported, and cared for.
